Notion templates · Personal finance

You're paid in dollars. You live in pesos.

Every finance app makes you pick one currency and convert the rest, which hides the thing that actually matters — how much of your hard currency you kept. These templates don't do that.

These templates launched this month. There are no reviews yet because you'd be among the first people to use them — which is also why Basic is $9 instead of $19. If something doesn't work the way you need, email me and it gets fixed in the next version, which you'll get for free.

Only in Pro

The number no other template will show you

If you convert everything into one currency, a good month and a bad month look the same. The exchange rate moved, and you never saw it.

Pro keeps every transaction in the currency it happened in, and adds one small table where you record the month's rate. From those two things it gives you a figure most people never see: how much of your hard currency survived the month.

When the dollar strengthens, your rent gets cheaper without you doing anything. That's real, it's measurable, and it belongs in your tracker.

  1. Log income in the currency your client pays you in.
  2. Log expenses in the currency the shop charged you.
  3. Once a month, write down the rate. Takes fifteen seconds.
  4. Read your real savings rate, and watch it move with the market.

Why it's built this way

Made to be opened on a Tuesday, not admired once

Manual by design

No bank connections to break, no subscription behind your own data. Logging a purchase takes ten seconds and keeps you honest about it.

Runs on free Notion

Nothing here needs a paid plan, a third-party service, or an API key that expires.

Every currency stays itself

USD income and peso rent live side by side, with no forced conversion flattening the difference.

Tax season in an afternoon

Flag business costs as you go. Pro filters them into one view you can hand to an accountant.

Works on your phone

It's a Notion page. Log a coffee from the app in the queue, offline included.

Sample data included

Every edition arrives filled in, so you can see how it works before clearing it out and making it yours.

Questions

Before you buy

Do I need a paid Notion account?

No. Everything works on the free plan, including all databases, views and formulas.

Does it pull live stock and crypto prices?

No. You update prices yourself, which takes about two minutes a week. That's the trade for a template that never breaks because an integration changed.

Which edition should I buy?

If you only want to see where money went, Basic. If you want to plan a month before it starts, Intermediate. If you have investments, debt, or income in a currency you don't spend, Pro.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It's a Notion page, so it works in the Notion app on iOS and Android, online and off.

What happens after I pay?

You get a PDF with a link. Open it, click Duplicate, and the whole template copies into your own workspace.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. Buy Basic now and email me when you want Intermediate or Pro — you'll get a code for the difference, not the full price again.

What if it's not for me?

Email within seven days and you get your money back. No questions.
